Panacea
Panacea
There's a peace in those eyes
A calmness, tranquility about it,
As we lie together, and you close them slow.
There's a warmth in your arms,
A restfulness, alleviation about it,
As my cuts and burns fade, away they go.
There's a euphoric in your scent,
An intoxication, as I clutch your shirt to my heart;
This moment will pass, unruly tears, they know.
But even when we're miles apart now,
Your panacea still works wonders, I don't know how.
