Time Turn Over

Time Turn Over

2 mins
142

The mother was in labor

And father was waiting

For him to come.

His eyes twinkled

At the first espy of me

The little element of him.

Castling emotions took beautiful architecture

As he first cradled me in his arms

Grimacing and smiling with closed eyes.

That bud of love never turned down

But became my strength and inspiration

As I kept on adding my years.

He laid my little feet on his

To make me walk like him

In the world so diverse and new.

He held my little finger

And lead me on a path so new

That I might not be lost in peeps so adroit.

He stood by my side all the time

When I just needed him

To be my thought and deed.

And now he is where I was once

Weak and dependant all upon me

Slowly lifting his dilapidated eyes.

But I am grown up now

And tonnes of responsibility on my shoulder

Where is time to see his needs?

My wife is busy with all course

Kids racing for their future

Who will look after his tears?

So we finally sat together

To find a solution, definite

For him to settle down comfortably.

And I drove him to a shelter

Full of his type of crowd

That he may enjoy the time, out of bound.

Wet was his eyes as I adieu him

Pinched my heart so much

Have I done something wrong? Was my question.

The voice within me said

He used to drop you to school

Before he went to office.

And you left him orphaned

In a house that is never his own

Why this difference?

He considered you a part of him

And did all that he can, to nurture you

But you considered him a burden and left.

He was the one who gave his back to ride

And you crushed him only

Who became your stepping stone.

Why this differentiation

When he is an older, mature version of you

Still found no place in you.
