War

An empty infirmary,

Broken down rails,

Busted windows,

Here is where,

They treated the ill,

Mended the weak,

And let go of the dead.

There still remain the shells,

And the pieces of concrete that fell,

On the floor lay the sheets,

Of the men and women,

Who are no longer?

Tell me where would you go?

When the streets are blown

And the place you are to be safe,

Broken and bombed.

How would you let yourself see?

The life leave your child's eyes,

As you cry desperately.

Does it not scare you?

Your war threatens to take you,

Yet you fight,

But the death wish that is yours,

Spreads to the world tonight.

Hope you find peace,

Free from the blood,

And tears you shed,

Dear bomb man,

You said you are fighting for me,

But you killed me instead.
