Friends Are Life
Friends Are Life
I thought I’ll be my deliverer alone
But we came out of the closet
To each other at school
And he still stands by my side
Through thick and thin
And so I’m alive by this mate-ship
I told my best-friend about the crush
I had on my classmate
And she supported me in chasing
That guy at college
Some of my friends aided
In rendering my love letters
By challenging my desires
Of being with another boy
Whenever a new one enters
Or an old one exits
I get a clean slate
To overcome my constraints
And in their absence, I’m a witch-hunter
They wrestle along me
Against I losing love for myself
And parts of my heart turning into voids
And the hatred surrounding it
