What's Destroying Us?

Is it the hunger that is killing us?

Or,

Is it our greediness?

Is it the poverty that is increasing?

Or,

Is it our fault because of whom they get misplaced?

We live in a world

Where there is more power,

But no one to use it

To help everyone,

We have a lot of supplies for ourselves,

But none for those who can't afford it,

We fight wars in the names of

Religion or caste,

And we forget humanity,

What growth do we expect from this?

When we see tears in the eyes of the victims we misplaced,

How different are we from the militants

Who terrorize innocents in the end?

Are there no hopes to change for the better?

Or, is it like a legacy that keeps passing on

From one generation to the next?
