Wishful Thinking
Wishful Thinking
Far away from the hustle and bustle of life
From a chaotic run and unceasing strife
To wishful thinking on a woeful day
I dozed off to dreamland far far away
I sailed up to the sky decked with stars
And held lots of them in my hands
Then I scattered them like glowing flowers
And they formed a blanket like the sand
I sailed past clouds and burst a few of them too
Till colourful showers and fountains, they threw
I flew around with birds and sang my favourite songs
And wished that the shooting stars could change to right my wrongs
Then suddenly all illusions crashed
And out of my dreamland, I was thrown like trash
But those few hours in that world of dreams
Erased all stress in which; throughout the day I had been.
