Anchor

The ship chugs along with the cordage of rope,

Whipped and eye-spliced into an anchor line,

Beaching it at the harbor, raising a faint hope

Of meeting you on the shores, oh, love of mine.

An endless wait it has been,

To behold the stars in your eyes

As you unlock the heart of a teen

With the key of emotion and love.

Will I be blessed, will I grow wings,
