My Soul Carved On A Paper

My Soul Carved On A Paper

I sit down, in the midst of a lush green garden, on a woven swing from my golden childhood days. My pen weaves a few curvy letters on a piece of old parchment. Ink galloping with a swirl and carving a dream I once abided by.

Years ago, I, an envied princess, peering through a treasured mirror curated at its boundaries with tassels of azure and red, grazing my hair with a few strokes of a wooden comb.

Trailing through a path, that led me to the rim of the giant ship, I resided in. I lay my toes on it's edges, just a single jump and I would lose my soul in the unending wildness of waves.

I hear a deep voice, probably a man's, not preventing me from hopping towards my end rather stating that I wasn't about to jump.

And the next minute, I almost fell into the deep stream, the cold droplets of the enchanting ocean swirling over my delicate toes. My fingers encountered warmth as a kind gentleman held them tight, and interlaced his with mine and pulled me up on the rim of the massive ship.

At the end of the seemingly long day, I encountered him at a lavish dinner, muttering the story of his hard life, carving it with a wide grin stretched on his face.

For minutes, I sought myself losing my heart in his caressed words, that night I traced my legs with his dance moves in a cheerful rhythm, that plucked the chords of my heart.

The tinkle in his almond eyes and warmth rising on my plum cheeks gave away a loud declaration, that my story had just begun.

And so, I found myself lying beside his huge muscular flesh, for hours after that. Running through the corridors of the dream ship, we forged our own minimalistic dream.

But one fine day, the sun shone sanguine, but the moon lost its vivacity. It all seemed fine as I tuned my steps on the rhythm of my heartbeat, singing at the midst of an ostentatious. The breeze, mingled with icy droplets from the nearby frigid arctic circle, played with the twigs of my untied hair.

Thud!!! A loud noise showered in my ears, my body collapsed on the wooden flooring as the ship collided with an iceberg.

My cerebrum carries blurry records if the events occurring the following day. Rushing through the winding staircase to cross storeys and safely abide by the sailboats which would land me on my seashore

But all I recall, is leaving his warmth as breath escaped his trachea. My fingers tightly interlaced with his cold lifeless ones, left them to nudge him into the never-ending wildness of waves, just to fulfill his promise.

Firstly, I would never give up on living, I would die like an old lady in the warmth of my tiny warm bed. Secondly, I would never let go of my promise

I remember feeling a deep excruciating agony, a deep pit was formed in the bottom of my stomach. My vision blurred up by the rippling cascade of water that dripped through my frozen eyes, as I saw my love drown away in the ocean, the last time I remember witnessing his glance was the minute, I forged him to his end.

I bucked up the courage, that was constructed only by the broken puzzle pieces of faith that he filled me with. Blowing air through a whistle, a few sailboats came to my rescue and safely landed me to my abode, which was no longer was my home.

So, my dull, handcrafted and my brave pen filled with blue ink, you are the only ones who heard the voice of my tale.

A woman's heart is a huge mess of secrets many unrevealed yet tightly tangled to their heart.

Today, as I abide by my promise, losing my very soul, in a tiny yet warm bed, that would soon reunite me with my past lover Jack in the ultra luxurious dream ship 'Titanic.
