Rohit was shocked to hear the same, since he was confident that they would be announced as a winner, on the other hand, Mugdha, Kartik and the team were relaxed that at least the game was still On.

It was more than an hour Mr Lahiri and the judges went to the meeting room to decide on the result, while both the parties were waiting for the result Mr Lahiri and the judges finally came out of the meeting room.

Mr Lahiri went up on the stage and said, It was a difficult decision for us to take as both the parties were equally good but a winner can be only one. So the winner of this contest is .....

Even before Mr Lahiri could announce the winner, he got interrupted by a voice that said, Stop, before you announce the winner. We have some important announcement to make.

Everyone turned back to see, to see the source of that voice and all were shocked to see a team of police in the venue.

Mr Lahiri got down from the stage and approached the police and asked what were they doing here and what is the important announcement they want to make.

The police said, Mr Lahiri, We are sorry to interrupt your fashion show. Actually, we are here to make an arrest.

Rohit and his father also joined Mr Lahiri and even before the police officer could have said something Rohit's father (Mr Jagdeep Arora) intervened and said, Oh my God, look, Mr Lahiri, Ms Mugdha has created a scene here also. I am sure, she must have done some fraud in order to participate in the fashion show. I warned you to not give any chance to this girl. She doesn't deserve it. Look now, what she has done. The officer had to come down here to arrest her. Anyways, what needs to be done has to be done. Officer without wasting any time, you can arrest her. She is standing there near the stage.

He shouted,' Ms Mugdha, Can you please come here. The police officer is here for you.

Mugdha, Kartik were unable to understand what was going around and as required joined Rohit and his father.

The police officer ( Karan Vohra) looked at Mugdha and Kartik smiled and said, Hi, Mugdha, Kartik, How are you. It's been a long time since we met, however, I never thought we would meet in such circumstances. Anyways, I am here for official work.

They too said "Hi" to him, both were happy to see him as well.

Karan, Mugdha and Kartik went to the same school, before Kartik moved to another city.

It was now time for Karan to speak. He looked at Rohit's father's and said, "Mr Jagdeep, we really appreciate your support and yes I need to make an arrest. But you know the twist here is we are not here for Ms Mugdha, instead we are here for You. You are under arrest for an attempt to murder.

What nonsense are you talking about Officer, Rohit shouted?

Karan said, "Mr Rohit, please control your emotions and yes you heard it correctly, we are here to arrest your father. But don't worry we have arranged some company for him, so who could be a better company than you for him?

Jaideep shouted, "Officer, you don't know what you are talking about an attempt to murder charges on me? Why are you dragging my son in this? and who is the victim you are talking about?

Karan turned to Mugdha and said, Mugdha you meet me with an accident, that accident was actually planned by Mr Jagdeep.

What? Mugdha and Kartik were shocked to hear that. Mugdha was almost about to collapse, Kartik held her and gave her the support to stand.

Rohit's father said, Officer, you can't blame us, without any evidence. We have nothing to do with the accident.

Well, we hate to break your heart, Sir, we have evidence and witness both for your information.

Let's listen to this small conversation on this tape, that might jog your memory:

Son, you think it was a mere accident. It was all my planning behind it. You wanted to marry that middle-class girl who was far below our standard. You are my only son I couldn't sit back and watch you destroy your life with that girl.........How could I have accepted that girl as my daughter- in law. I had to go through a lot to plan this accident so meticulously,

 But Dad, what if someone comes to know you were behind the accident. He replied, "Don't worry son it's all taken care of.No one knows our secret.

Rohit and his father were shocked to hear their conversation on the tape, it was the conversation they had at their home, no one was present at that time, so who recorded their conversation.

Karan stopped the tape and said, I guess you both are able to recognize your voices clearly and yes before you trouble yourself let me tell you the guys you hired to do the accident has already been arrested and they have confirmed that you hired them to do the accident. We have traced back the money that you gave them to do the accident.

Now you must be thinking, what is the proof that this conversation is authentic and do we have any witness who could vouch for it, so I am glad to share with you we do have the witness, let me call her in so that you could be assured.

Karan said, "Ma'am, please come in. Also, Mr Lahiri can we have some more lights in the room, so that everyone can see the witness.

As soon as the lady entered the hall, Rohit and his father couldn't believe their eyes, as to what they saw.

The lady was none other than Rohit's mother, Jagdeep's wife, Sumitra Arora.

Jagdeep saw her and shouted, You, Are you nuts? Going against your husband and son. What's wrong with you? Rohit also started shouting, Mom, how could you do this to us? Getting your husband and son arrested?

She ignored both of them and said to Karan, Officer, As I said earlier I am sorry I should have approached you earlier. It took a lot of courage for me to take my stand. But the truth is my husband had planned Mugdha's accident and my son Rohit even after knowing about the accident, didn't said anything. Instead, he was perfectly fine with the idea. Not even once he questioned his father about this accident.

As you must be aware Mugdha and Rohit were supposed to get married, but my husband was not ready to accept her. Though he reluctantly agreed to their wedding, Mugdha's sudden accident raised a concern for me. Not only this even while Mugdha was in the hospital, but he was also planning to get Rohit married to rich businessman Mr Murthy's daughter, Piya.

I am also aware of how Rohit took over the company and kicked Mugdha out of her own company. 

Mr Lahiri was kind enough to provide Mugdha with an opportunity for this fashion show, but my husband left no stone unturned to withdraw the support extended to her by anyone. They tried influencing Mr Lahiri and Ms Pooja who owned the orphanage.

I had my doubts about them and then one day when I heard their conversation my doubts got cleared. Thankfully I recorded their conversation that you have as proof.

Mugdha was listening to all this in silence, she couldn't believe Mr Jagdeep was behind all of this. Sumitra approached her in tears and said, Beta I am really sorry for what my husband and son did to you. I always found a daughter in you and was happy that you'll be part of our family. But today when I look back, I am really happy that this alliance didn't work out. Rohit definitely doesn't deserve you and actually, God saved you from this mess. Please forgive me beta.

Mugdha hugged her and said, No aunty, Please don't say sorry to me. Aunty, I have always considered you as my mother only. You have always loved and cared for me. I have always respected you and today what you have done for me, it's beyond words.

Karan turned to Mr Jadgeep and said," I guess you have found all the answers to your questions. You are under arrest for an attempt to murder and Mr Rohit we have charges against you for fraud. Your game is over, let's go now.

Mugdha said, One minute Officer Karan before you leave can I say something to Rohit.

Mugdha said to Rohit, I never believed in love, but it was you, who asked me to marry you. Why did you do this to me? Your father hated me so much that he planned this accident so that we should not get married. One accident and that changed your love for me. You got engaged to a random girl, just because her father was rich. You left me when I needed you the most.

What kind of love was that Rohit? 

You took away my company, you know very well, how much I had worked for its success.

I am ashamed of myself that I have ever loved a guy like you. Your male ego couldn't accept that Mr Lahiri was giving me chance to work on this project and even after knowing what your father did, you still supported him. Shame on you Rohit.

She now said to Rohit's father, I don't have words for what you did to me. Just because you didn't like me, you planned all of this. How could someone stoop to this level?

Rohit was looking at Mugdha with anger and said, How dare you speak to my father like this? You can't stand on both your feets, you still think you can run a company. You couldn't win this fashion show and you think you can take over my company?

Mr Lahiri said to Rohit in anger,' Who told you, you had won this fashion show. Get your facts correct, Ms.Mugdha has not only won this fashion show with creativity and fresh ideas but our upcoming projects also. And considering your involvement in the fraud case, we would no longing be doing any business with you.

Officer Karan, these people should be punished, not just because of what they did to Mugdha, but in future, they should not try to play with the lives of other people. Please take them away.

Mugdha and Kartik couldn't believe what they heard. Mr Lahiri congratulated Mugdha and said, Well done, dear. I am so proud of you. You are the winner of this fashion show and I am pleased to assign all my upcoming projects to your company. Your team has done a fantastic job. I cant imagine inspite of going through all these odds in life, you had let nothing stopped you from achieving success.

I am very impressed by the work of the orphanage girls and would insist that they should continue working with you. Under your guidance and training, they'll excel.

Now, I am ready to do business with you, you let me know if you would be continuing in your previous company or you would forming a new company. We'll work it out accordingly.

Rohit's mother said, Mugdha, my job is done here beta. I'll also leave now. Be happy always. My blessings are always with you.

You really are blessed with wonderful people around you, who love and support you. Keep them close to you always.

It was now the time of celebration, Mugdha's family, Kartik, Rakesh, Pooja, girls all were rejoicing in this success. As Mugdha saw them celebrating, she closed her eyes and remembered what her mother told her that "Everything in life happens for a reason" it transforms your journey and defines you. But instead, if you get yourself trapped in pain and not looked beyond it, you are not living your life. Life has so much to offer, provided you know how to embrace it and learn to let things go.

She remembered how her mother asked about her passion to work with the orphanage, and also about Kartik's role in her life. Her mother told her "You are going to embark on a new journey, from here on and this journey shall redefine you.

Yes, this journey had completely changed her perspective towards life and her best friend "Kartik".Even though there was not much improvement in her legs, she was content with what she had in life. She never felt so blessed and fortunate to be among those who really love, believed and trusted her. They all were the reason for her success.

Few years down the line...

"Daddy, Mumma is getting the award for the Best Entrepreneur, why are you so happy about it? Panchi asked Kartik.

Because Kiddo your Mom is not only my wife, she is my best friend. I love her a lot and her success gives me happiness. You don't know how fortunate I am to have her in my life. I lost her once and hence decided I'll not let her go for the 2nd time. So your Daddy proposed to Mumma and she said a Yes. Let's hurry up before we get late for the event.

"How I am looking, what do you think? Mugdha smiled and asked Kartik and Panchi. She wore a beautiful orange saree, that made her look more gorgeous.

Mumma, you are looking so beautiful, Panchi hugged and kissed her.

Kartik smiled and said. "My dear wife, Just wow, I don't have words to describe how beautiful you are looking. Now, Let's go. Kiara, Papa, Rakesh, Pooja aunty and girls are waiting for us at the venue.
