The Proposal

“Why are you avoiding me?” he asked as I tried to walk away from him. I chose not to answer and kept walking.

He held my hand and said, “don’t you have any feelings for me?” I stood there silently rubbing my nails on one another. “Oh come on for all those years of friendship you can at least give me an answer” he rattled in agony.

I slowly looked at him and said: “I am afraid of falling in love.” Gazing me with smiling eyes he answered: “trust me I have wings.”
