Intelligent Birds

 I wish we could understand the language of Birds. Innocent beautiful birds!!

They have their norms, community, most important is Family and how they live and protect and love their family is something awesome to watch and observe.

 

 One such bird had chosen our vessel stand in kitchen, at the top it made it’s Nest. we used to keep water and some grains/food in small dishes for bird. But during the day time it used to remain out and In the evening it used to come and sit on its eggs and later on with it’s new born baby birds. when it is a time of sunrise it will make noise Chaw - chaw and it was so intelligent that it used to come to my parents room and make noise so my father will open the door and it used to fly away……….

 

Mourning Dove kind of bird which is bigger than sparrow but smaller than pigeon.

Once I saw that It came in the morning the female and male bird and kept their newly born babies in our outer gallery. We had old, not in use scooty kept over there near the wall of room which had window. So the mom Dove selected place between scooty and wall which it felt safer and where she can save its babies from dogs or cats which are always after them. so it was like it gave us a duty to look after its babies from our window. babies were so small that they used to not eat anything that we used to keep for them also very rarely they used to go to water and take a sip.

Then in the evening female dove came and feed them with what it bring and take them to other place, one by one. This was repeated for the next few days. it was like their time table. Like how we go to the office in the morning and come back in the evening. The same way they maintained their timings, so amazing without a watch !! then after few days it used to push the baby bird and teach them to fly so one baby learned to fly but the smaller among the two was still frightened then the 2nd one also could fly. so it was such an amazing thing to watch and observe the “Bird's Family”. and the Love and care it shows towards their babies.

While female bird is feeding its baby and taking it to another place, was all watched and taken care by male bird by just being there and making noise “Tawe - Tawe” and “Chaw - Chaw” and helping.

 

I wish we could understand what they talk and how they convey each other and how they decide and select the safe place and how they do their duty during the day time of finding food for them and for the babies. Finding dry grass n other material to make their home, their Nest. and if you observe their nest, it is so neatly made, it is truly artistic. and how this activity is observed and followed by their other generation. Also, they maintain distance from human beings, so community conscious ??? would say or it is the fear about us.

 

Who knows one day we may do research on understanding their language and their signals and that will be so beautiful to know what they say, what they want and how they feel. Amazing Birds …….

And also one day they understand that we will not do any harm to it or the baby birds.
