The evolution of men

"We are pleased to announce you that the working model of our time machine is ready," the senior scientist announced in the press conference.

There were murmurs across the room.

"And our first project will be to send a robot to the stone age. It will communicate in sign language. We are expecting our stone age fellows to decipher all the information that us space age people have."

"But what's the point?" A reporter asked.

The scientist bent over the microphone and said, "To accelerate our evolution."

Chaos broke across a tribe when they found a shining robot in the jungle. They attacked it with sticks, rocks, and fire. Eventually, they were able to break the robot into pieces. Then they realized that the metal of which the robot was made of, was stronger than any material they knew. They used it as weapons against neighboring tribes who defended themselves with sticks and stones. The fights were one-sided.

Soon, all but this one tribe remained. And true to human nature, power did corrupt them too. Fights broke out among the tribe, and within the next hundred years, they were all dead. With them, the human species became extinct.
