A Lost Girl
A Lost Girl
There was a girl I knew
She held treasure in eyes
Pearls in her smile,
Chirpy and bubbly she was
Until the day a silence eroded her;
Lonely she sat on the beach,
An old piano with broken strings she held
Playing a song no one heard.
I saw her from a distance...
Now her eyes cried silent tears
Her smile faded,
The void of her heart echoed in the waves.
I searched for the meaning of her emptiness in those words
Days passed
Soon she was done expressing her pains
To the sunshine and the moonlight.
This morning,
She was nowhere to be found.
There was a lost girl I knew.
There was a lost girl I knew.
