A Rainy Day

Fluffy clouds ramble in the cerulean sky,

Anon kicked off pouring down raindrops.

Petrichor emanated from the doused soil,

Diffusing a pleasant scent in the ambience.

People who once walked with empty hands,

Held umbrellas to escape from being wet.

After prolonged days of sweating under the sun,

The fauna jubilated in the sudden rain shower.

The flora once withered bereft of ample water,

Spawned new sprouts of green leaves on them.

Children who were in love with monsoon falls,

Enjoyed flowing paper boats in rippling water.

Another rainy season had let know its advent,

Quenching the thirst of the earth with aqua drops.
