Africa's Pearl
Africa's Pearl
In the green hills of Uganda,
Nature's beauty blooms and spills.
Lush greenery and wildlife thrive,
It's a sight that keeps us all alive.
But beneath this natural veil,
Lies a story that's far from pale,
Of political conflict and turmoil,
A nation struggling to achieve its best.
Freedom's voice is often hushed,
Rights and freedoms often crushed,
And corruption's shadow looms large.
A nation reluctant to change its dictatorial ways.
Yet still the beauty of the land,
Offers hope that we can stand,
Against the odds and pave the way,
For a brighter, freer day.
So let us cherish Uganda's charm.
And work to keep it from harm, and pestilence.
For in its hills and plains and streams,
Lies hope for brighter dreams.
