Another Day

The day is here yet again,

Once again she'll hide her pain.

Beneath the veil of her smile

Rests her soul which has turned vile.

Because of the aggrievances faced by her

Caused by the men who surround her.

The son who made her smile till yesterday

Is responsible for,

The tears she sheds everyday.

Never did she stop being selfless....

Never did she stop hoping for the hopeless....

But those men in torturing her take great pride

Each night to her sleep she cried.

The hardships faced by her went in vain,

As her children left her crying in pain....

She asked herself what sin had she done?

Why had she been shunned?

She had just tried to make everyone happy and gay,

She had tried to do it in every which way.

But she was just left stupefied

And for her coming days petrified.
