Aspiration Amidst Adversity

Desolate darkness gripped the atmosphere,

Deserted roads stood like witnesses of fear.

The cricket bat rested in a corner,

Uncertain of its future.

I longed for the feel of the leather ball.

I longed for the feel of the ground.

I shut my eyes in exasperation.

I could not hold my patience.

The time is moving ahead, but not the world.

The lachrymose of losing my passion, I could no behold.

A passion holds no value in a time of people’s value,

In a time of people’s value.

We can only wish for this adversity to be over,

As we await a new future.

We have to be optimistic and strong,

To revive the world, to revive its people.
