At The Sunset – II
At The Sunset – II
It was the shimmering light that followed me
Leaving its trail on the reddish water
The sun sloping away from the vision, every second
Still, cannot be tamed
Still too hot to stare.
With objects of human intervention, I dare
From behind the glasses and rigs
And as it lay its golden sensation on and over my face
Accompanied by the mystical wind
It was beautiful.
I wanted to hold the moment
Sit there, Stay there!
And
Along with the distorted reflection of the Sun in the water
Watch my own
Along the open horizon lined by the sea
Let my vision flow,
To let it dream
Along the surreal shores and get lost in it
To be only awakened by the splash of water,
The sound of gushing air and the boat cruising into the sea.
As the seagull flew past me
I was brought back
They flew up and into the ocean
Flying in circles, fishing for food
Unaware of the might of the setting sun
Unaware of the depth of the sea
Unaware of the eyes waiting at the shore.
As I admire their flying silhouette against the setting sun
The sun slowly surrendered to the ocean
The seagull too began to fly away to home
And I stood alone in the silence of the fore coming night;
Watching, dreaming, breathing …!
