Into the beauty of camellias, I begin to drift away,

I can't find anything that makes me want to stay.

The blossoms engulf me, promising relief,

I want to believe they can take away my grief.

They lure me to the land of dreams,

Then leave me stranded there.

Breathtakingly beguiling, my wishes have been granted,

Before me I can see all I've ever wanted.

I revel in the luxury, unaware of the cost.

Of the fictitious reprieve my imagination has bought.

Something is tearing at me, refusing to let me stay.

Into the scentless camellias, I am drifting away.

Forgetting the past for a moment, I sink into the dreamland,

I forsake my existence as I began to fall deep, deep down.

The darkness in my heart begins to fade,

Gradually, my true existence begins to abrade.

Everything I treasured and loved has been replaced,

Into the embrace of camellias, I dream of a better place.

The void in my heart is slowly beginning to close,

All my emotions being captured by this hoax.

I fiercely want to, need to believe it could be real,

Still something restrains me, screaming its appeal.

Battling against the binds that are forcing me to stay,

Into the longing pink camellias, I fight to drift away.

My thoughts are consumed by the yearning to disappear,

My mind has become a whirlwind of doubt and fear.

Still, I am pulled back to the reality I cannot escape,

Reminded that all my dreams will never cease to be fake.

The brutality of the world keeps my body, but loses my heart,

Into the odourless camellias, I fall apart.
