Behind The Mask Of Light

In shadows deep, where friendships wane,

A tale unfolds, of joy and pain,

Amidst the smiles, a truth we find,

In every grin, a soul confined.

Fake friends, they wear a mask of light,

Yet behind their eyes, darkness does alight,

For every smile, a thousand tears,

Betrayal whispers, feeding fears.

In laughter shared, a dagger's art,

Piercing through a trusting heart,

Society's chains, they bind so tight,

Yet in our dreams, we yearn for flight.

We weep in silence, unheard cries,

Beneath the vast and starlit skies,

For one true smile, we pay the cost,

A thousand tears, forever lost.

But in our hearts, a strength resides,

A flame that fake friends cannot hide,

We rise above, we break the chains,

In spite of all, our soul remains.

For in the pain, a truth is clear,

We learn to face our deepest fear,

In fake friends' guise, we find our might,

And in our tears, we claim the light.
