BEING A WARRIOR
BEING A WARRIOR
Dreaded memories bounding me in chains
Dwelling on the well of lies
Melodies to my ears
Are the sighs of goodbyes
"Love"- cloaked in lust.
And trust covered in rust
True and kind are rare to find.
Hope has long ago waved a bye.
Still I fight, with the demons outside.
With a bleeding soul, a bleeding body and lost mind
Alike a candle melting steadily
I heal quickly like a soldier in war.
They see me numb.
They see me weak.
They too see me cry.
They stabbed my back.
Stamped me to die
Still like a Phoenix
I rise again.
Still like a fighter
I will always rise.
saying cheese and will always smile
Indomitable I am
Will rise with grace
Demons they may be
But I am not afraid...
