Castaway
Castaway
Alone upon an island shore,
A castaway is left to explore,
The rugged landscape that surrounds,
And find a way to stay unbound.
The crashing waves and salty air,
Are constant sounds for him to bear,
While hunger gnaws and thirst takes hold,
His courage and will remain bold.
Days turn to weeks, and weeks to years,
Yet still the castaway perseveres,
With nothing but his strength and wits,
He battles on, and never quits.
And in this struggle, he discovers,
The strength within himself uncovers,
A newfound sense of purpose and drive,
That keeps him going, and helps him thrive.
For though he's lost and all alone,
He's found a place he can call home,
A refuge in the midst of strife,
That helps him cherish every life.
So let us honor the castaway,
And all who struggle day by day,
For they remind us of our worth,
And help us find new ways to birth.
