Cloud
Cloud
What does a cloud in half blossom,
In the heat
Of the moment
Swell and soar
Updraft fueling more
To do.
The parched soil below
In its neglect,
Cracks up in despair
Look upwards
Begging a drop
To parch its voice
What to do?
The gusts of this love blow,
Push the aimless cloud
Windward ho!
His shyness dispelled
The sight below of her,
Spews roar
That thunderous questioning
Why so much neglect.
His tender heart cries out
First a teardrop,
I heard they labelled it petrichor
The essence of her liberation
Floats up to his heights.
A love story born
His delight in the lightning strike
The drizzle is a mere check
Does she feel the same,
As her soul is soaked
The green shoots an answer to his bewilderment,
The downpour ensues.
Thereafter,
Let's turn our eyes away
Let the two
Commingle,
Let them roll in the mud
Make love in that flood
Let them merge in their being.
Or be a voyeur to their entwine
Be it a lesson to you.
