Dear God

My name is Crystal Floyd

I live down here on earth, 

and I have been told that 

whatever I want or I need,

That I should ask you first. 

I really do not know much about you

only what I have heard grownup's say,

They say you are something very magical

and when Iam sad, you make it go away. 

"Well, if you can really hear me 

then there is something I want to discuss, 

But promise that you will not tell my Mommy

just please keep it between the two of us. 

I have been feeling a strange pain inside

almost nearly every single day,

It all started about a month ago

whenever my Daddy went away.

They said you took him far away

but to a very, very special place, 

They said I shouldn't cry or worry

because someday I will get to 

see my Daddy's handsome face!

But I do not care what they say

because they really do not know

what it is that is inside of my heart, 

All I know is that my Daddy is gone

and it is just tearing me apart!

Okay, let me take a deep breath

and tell you what I want to say,

Just please be a little patient with me

because I am still learning how to pray. 

I want to make a deal with you

and I hope that I am not miss understood, 

I want you to give my daddy back to me

and I promise to always be good. 

I know that sometimes I do not listen

and I can even behave pretty bad,

But I promise to stop right now

if you just let me, see my dad. 

I miss him so very, very much

I just do not know what to do, 

I want to hug him, kiss him

play and wait for him after school. 

What about when Christmas comes

who will even buy all of my toys?

What about when I get to high school

who will keep me safe from bad boys?

Can really hear and help me

because I do not understand, 

How can my dad be here one day

and the next, his life is in your hands?

Who told you that you could have him?

Did you ever think about me

and how sad and lonely that I would be? 

I really do not mean to yell at you 

or disrespect you in any kind of way, 

I am just feeling very hurt and angry

because my Daddy has gone far away!

What was it that you said?

because I think I heard you speak, 

You say my Daddy is in a beautiful place 

where only the really good people meet

You say that you will watch over him

while he continues to watch over me.

You say that you will never leave him alone

and by his side, you will always be?

"Well, if that is the case

then I guess it will alright,

that Daddy spends some time with you...
