Deja Vu

When I held you in my arms gently

And you rested yourself in me 

We knew it meant nothing and everything 

That it wasn't great and I still felt ecstatic.

That hurt though you had implanted in me

I didn't want to be anyplace else

There was no reason to be with you and every reason to go

But sitting beside you doing nothing made too much sense

Whatever I did with you since the day I met you

Felt like I had done it all before a gazillion times

Crying beside you I felt so happy I could cry again with joy 

Such a deja vu you were that after you, my entire world became new.
