Romance

Wrapped His Arms Around Me

Wrapped His Arms Around Me

2 mins

The other day I fell asleep

And in my dreams, he came

Wrapped his arms around me

And whispered my name

"Stay by me forever,

My embrace may you never leave

You're mine and I'm yours

Elsewhere we can never be."

Next morning I woke up

His name lit across my phone screen

Ere long I confessed my feelings

Told him about the dreams I see

"and you know how I feel about this

Kill your dreams and feels

Send your poems to someone who cares

For my return will never be"

The other month I was at his house

Holding my heart and tears tightly

Wrapped his arms around me

And he took her name quietly

"I loved her so much

That I could never stop

She was here for every lunch

And we did it on the countertop."

Next month I wrote these poems

That I never did share

For I saw whom they were about

Not us but the girl who was there

"I know you love me

I wish I loved her the same

In her I found the things

That looked better with my name."

The other year I was in a car

Wearing my hair all curly

Wrapped his arms around me

He smiled into my smile

"Gollum I love you

Soon we will reunite

Nothing can separate us

And a hearty goodbye just for a while"

The next year delightful was our reunion

Our smiles were wide and happy

A name lit across his screen

My loyal lover giggled and explained

"Ah just someone with a crush on me

Never mind her, let's celebrate

We are together now we will always be

Told you nothing can separate us, my Queen."
