Father's Thoughts
Father's Thoughts
The roads are clogged.
I'm on my way home.
I wish to reach home just in time,
To make sure, together we dine.
I wish to give them ample time.
Keenly look at my kid's new drawing,
Listen to parents' giving feelings a vent
Wanna make sure relations don't get a dent.
After all the hectic day,
Keeping my feelings at a bay,
I need to lift myself up,
Cheerfully ask them all what's up.
My wife deserves the best of me
She must not be with the rest of me.
The drained version would increase the distance,
Make things gloomy like a forest dense.
I wish to set all things straight,
Think all these while I eagerly wait.
I wish to reach home just in time,
To make sure, together we dine.
