Flower In Your Hair
Flower In Your Hair
Each petal blooming out,
With a sweet little pout,
On the left side of your twirl
Smiling towards the world.
It was always fresh with dew,
And I, the child, never knew
That everyday it's new
The beautiful blemishes of blue.
The colour never changed,
The fresh calm remained.
It was forever pristine
With the stem firm behind.
The flower in your hair
When it had lived its share
Did not wither with the tragic,
But renewed itself by magic.
The child in me was awed
With the blue, bright and raw.
And the flower when it fell
I swear, it had your smell.
The wondrous life in you
That matched the petals' hue
Faded along the sky,
And never said die.
I hold it now on my palm,
The last of the blue charm
That entangled with your tress,
Shall now my hair caress.
The flower from your hair,
The left of my head shall affair
And I'll add mine to make a pair.
Till it falls to wind and air.
