Footsteps in the Sand

I walk along the sandy shore

The waves crashing at my feet.

I see the endless sea before

And the sun's warmth is sweet.

The sand beneath my toes,

Feels warm and soft and free.

The oceans calming flow

Is there I love to be.

My footprints mark the ground,

In a line behind me.

They are quickly swallowed,

By the rushing, salty sea.

The sound of seagulls crying,

Echoes in the air.

The waves keep on sighing,

As if they have no care.

I walk further down the shore,

With the sun and sea in view.

The footsteps I leave behind,

Are a path of memories for you.
