Inking down in the park

3 am and 3 years, still apart

fog in our breath

when we were yachting and in love?

Lavender Azalea

quilt like your teal eyes

love paraphernalia

polaroid letters are hidden in diaries.

Remember that great hall candle night

sitting together, 30 feet apart.

I only had my phonographs to give

But I don't remember you putting that in your heart.

my pillbox fedora hat made of tales

best thing I had, and it bothers me that you don't care

you were the statue of conceit and vanity

your vintage etiquette and abusive comity

I remember when bedlam mayhem cropped up.

Sapphire moonlight, you were a prince in your cup

you told me you saw me, eyes closed in church.

You told me I'm the Cinderella that you search.

Would've, could've should've said no

I remember promised things that you don't do

you take the things you like, so you did

I was a kid to realize. lacked wit.

We jumped, we posed, we danced woke up in pain.

I remember each step taken and gift as a coat.

I was telling stories, and you were listening.

And I asked, "can we stay like this?"

Wine gets better with age but ours was made of poison.

The new thing also gets older and can't return.

You are the reason for those salt lakes flowing to your sea.

You might've jumped from a cliff if was in my shoe.

Now it is the seventh year since that night,

I'm clothed in flashbacks and wallowed in that coat

you were gasoline to that amour lamp, wind to that kite.

I'm reading our yearning to turning to burning that I wrote.

I still have a collection of recollections of posh parties.

You had million-dollar bills in front of my pennies.

Your foes and allies were not for this steel plate girl

you kept me like a portrait hanging on the wall.

I was encompassed by my bones if was soul

I was encompassed by you 'cause was a body.

You were bowmen shooting all your distress.

We stopped talking if so and ended up brawling.

The brave getaway made on that stormy night

I fought with me, was that right?

The road not taken wasn't that bad.

I learned that life is full of cascades.

It's all god in London, what 'bout Amsterdam.

How's your new mistress? I know she is an actress.

Though unmoored, free from the moor and you.

Best of luck. YEAH! I got a job too.

I'm doing good though memories suck.

Running and losing and loving in love.

Romantic scribbles are turned into scares.

But I'm mine, so I'll be ... Free.
