Glimpse Of The Future...

Gazing long enough at the sky,

I think of the future don't know why.

I think of the hardships I would encounter,

I wonder whether my life would be a success or a disaster.

I dream of shining like the moon,

And touch the peak of success soon.

But my thoughts divert to negativity,

As I fear the obstacles on the way and their longevity.

I fear income shortages,

And the sacrifice I would have to make in various stages.

I wonder what hardships would come my way,

Would they usurp my peace by making me work night and day?

My thoughts came to an abrupt cessation,

As my mom interrupted my reflection.

However, her interruption did give me this thought,

That one mustn't ponder over the future no matter what!
