God's Own Country
God's Own Country
Showers had lighted the mood
Misted my heart to touch
The vapours of smog,
Her tears have drenched
Many times deep in me,
Never had I expected
A night shall fall
In the glory of yestreen,
Dreams shall flow
In the morning in tears,
Bund shall break the seal
To flush the splashes,
Meandering with gush
Breaking the norms
Casting off the homes,
Inundated were the aisle
Let alone Venice looked
Horrified at the sight,
Blown with the flow
Along the shattered dreams
Were the silent souls
Leaving us behind
Memories of nature's anger
To cleanse our home,
A thought for tomorrow
To kiss the nature's cheek ..
