Happened that night
Happened that night
With dignity the head rise
Dark days lay behind
Never, it happened before
Those disdain moments
Where mockery was a patron
None dare to tear it alone
Then came a spark
That day you took it up to your chin; tore those pages
Where humanity was pulverized Before the rise was felt
Dissent, lost, in search of voice
Eyes had tears.
Though it roared like a lion
The voice of God struck me,
That moment, With dignity, I rose up!
