Happiness

Happiness

At the busy corners of my house,

My dreams and hopes appear to be as small as a mouse.

No matter how hard I try,

I end up at my mother's lap giving out a loud cry.

Life according to me seems to be an unsteady motion.

And happiness on the other hand is the only solution.

The poor wants to earn more and more,

As he wants happiness to heal his sore.

The rich wants some peace.

Because he wants happiness to put him in ease.

All of us run here and there pathetically in haste,

To put food on plate for our dear ones to taste.

All this reminds me that happiness is like a little toothpaste.

To wipe away all our tears,

and to bring a wide grin on the face of our dears.

But on the other hand, my life seems to be a terrible mess.

Which you could have never dreamt off and guess

Growing up, I was an ignored child.

Life for me was hard and wild.

I was neither pretty nor brilliant back then.

And the pressure imposed on me by the society deprived me off my happiness often.

I was often left out by everybody around which made me feel confused.

Sadness and anxiety were the only things that diffused.

Pain and guilt threatened me to die.

But a little scope of seeking happiness in life kept me alive.

With the hope and determination I have in life,

I wish the pain in life is cut off using a knife.

At the busy corners of my house,

I hope my fear appears to be as small as a mouse.

And with happiness filled in my life, I wouldn't have to move around like a louse.
