The Reflection Of The Society

Sometimes, I close my eyes deeper enough so that I never open them again.

It is not about me. It's about the world which is obsessed with gain.

If you'd ask them why they would never explain.

In this do-or-die battle, people have forgotten to be humane.

Well, we live in a world where people turned rain into pain.

How do you think that we can ever sustain?

The poor live a life of dismay and uncertainty.

They believe that education can bring them some dignity.

Haven't the government promised us liberty?

Then why are many forbidden to see the reality?

Why is the poor always made to feel like he is a liability?

I see humans but no humanity.

Religion is just a belief, not a battle.

Sanitary workers and laborers are people, not mere cattle.

Without them, you cannot live in your comforting castle.

When money disowns true love, society disowns true heart. The situation is tough to handle.

Education is your right but, they say it's a business.

Opportunity is your stepping stone but, they turn you down saying, that you lack finances.

Health is wealth. Then why do people enjoy creating diseases?

Happiness is a key to leading a bright life but, all that we get today is darkness.

Why do people not understand that every new possession loads us with new weariness?

I know that I can be the people's voice.

Why do your anguish and greed burn their choice?

The only weapon we need to employ is empathy but, hasn't it been destroyed.

We have played enough with earth, now why do you want to play with the lives of humans.

Will your greed never suffice?

Do you find me pessimistic?

Well, I wanted it to sound organic.

Organic enough so that we rectify our mistakes and lead our life optimistic.

After all, this is the reflection of our society.

Many strive to bring equality.

Many strive to avoid opportunities choose one based on polarity.

Many strive to instill morality.

But I want all these to be a permanent part of our reality.

Sometimes, I close my eyes deeper enough so that I never open them again.

But if I close them longer who. Can ease others' pain.

Our generation would never let their pain sustain.
