Harry Potter : By a Potterhead

Harry Potter is the best, For it out stands the rest

There were four noble souls,

Who established and despite their different virtues preserved it :

Hogwarts: Our home,

Where help will be given to those who deserved it.

Though eventually they couldn’t stand each other

They didn’t let the castle get affected,

They left the wise old sorting hat

To let the rest of the students get selected.

You may read of Ravenclaw's wit,

When Luna Lovegood entices you to sit.

You may listen at leisure -

"Wit beyond measure is a man's greatest treasure."

You may read of Hufflepuff's loyalty,

Which unites them, without any royalty.

You cannot make excuses like ‘I forgot’ ,

'Cause the one teaching you is Hannah Abbott.

You may read of Gryffindor's nerves,

Where they don't freak out when in danger.

Friendship and Bravery serves,

-Says Hermione Granger.

You may read about Slytherins,

Who tried to kill poor Witherwings.

Draco Malfoy always chanted about his 'Pureblood Status',

Which after the Dark Lord's defeat was as good as mucus

Oh! But please don't judge them like these,

The Sorting Hat won’t be too pleased,

Though it told the difference between the four,

It never meant even one to cause an uproar.

The fact that they have all grown up, I cannot bear it,

I still think of Draco Malfoy as a "Great Big Ferret".

The love of Harry Potter will never die out,

For every time we are choked with love, friendship, and humanity when we read.

But O Rowling! We have read them over and out,

Please write a new book, Potter heads plead!!

Then there are those magical shops of Ollivander’s, Madam Malkin's, WWW's in Diagon Alley,

Don't mind if Hagrid doesn’t tell you which bricks to tap, he is too busy with Harry!

Doesn’t  matter if you have lived with muggles for 10 years,

The Weasleys will always be there,

They may be proud to be called Blood Traitors,

For they care for the ones who don't have ‘Weasley Sweaters.’

The studies at Hogwarts were not easy,

Until you took pride in being an ‘insufferable- know- it- all’;

You have to cast the spells correctly,

Or it will be on your face where you fall !!

The Heads of Houses were trying to fix the leaks,

They took out points for cheek and gave detentions for weeks,

There was short old Flitwick,

Who taught them Swish and Flick,

Till the light in their minds click.

The post of Defense Against the Dark Arts was jinxed,

The one who came was always gone,

Until the new era at Hogwarts was dawn.

To lighten up the mood was Quidditch,  It was easy to understand if not even to play,

You can dare to play it, But about the weeks in hospital, l cannot say

I have 'OBVIOUSLY' learnt the set books off by heart of course ;-)

And I'm particularly interested in them,

I'll 'ALWAYS' read Harry Potter in distress,

Even though it’s all in my head :-(

Then there was the sign of Deathly Hallows,

In the shape of an eye.

If you have all three,

To the world you can never say bye.

Then there were the odds of Xenophilius Lovegood,

He told us about the Wrackspurts, Around our head which gum.

He was the 'Quibbler Editor',

He told us to stay away from the 'Dirigible Plum'.

Luna told us about the Nargles,

She wore a Butterbeer Cork Necklace to keep them away,

People thought she had lost her marbles,

'Cause she would move her hands and on one point would sway.

Those Friendships at Hogwarts I can never forget,

The Mischief of Marauders were not the ones to regret

As "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good" without Harry Potter,

Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs would be proud to say-- ' Don't ever get your Mischiefs Managed.' ;-)
