Haunted Hearts

I feel so broken

Feels the heart which once was golden 

It is haunted by the memories of it's past 

It's praying that it doesn't last 

My heart screams and screams 

While trying to plot some pretty good scheme

For it wants to be mend 

For trying to be strong, does it pretend?

My heart feels haunted 

It thinks it's unwanted 

It wishes to feel alive 

Its memories, will it survive? 

My haunted heart 

Is a piece of art 

It's still beating in the hardest of times 

Each time, a new design 

My heart will grow 

It's purpose, will it trow?

Over time, it will be strong  

It will prove everyone wrong 

It pushed through every trial and rose higher 

My heart was set on fire 

It's haunted memories of the past

Dried up incredibly fast  

My heart feels haunted
