Insomnia

I used to find solace in my sleep

Now, even in my dreams, I go to someplace far and deep

She shows me my worst fears 

I feel blood on my hands, but my eyes don't have any tears 

She shows me memories of my haunted past 

I hope this inferno doesn't last 

I try to flee and I run away 

I feel this darkness is worse than the reality of a bright day 

They often say dreams come true 

They forgot to mention that the nightmares were dreams too

My phantoms haunt me during my trance 

All I want is another chance 

She visits me in my dreams to show how things have changed

The fear of reality makes me feel deranged

My bruises and trauma, I can't seem to ignore 

For, I can't identify my dreams and reality anymore

I feel as if I'm going insane 

I feel that there's something wrong with my brain 

My nightmares drove me crazy and hit me hard

I feel numb towards the misery I've caused 

Everything that's happening, is it all a dream? 

Illusions are not always so true as they seem
