Holes In Our Hearts
Holes In Our Hearts
We’re growing up with holes in our hearts
And do not feel that something is still missing,
Dark candles shining through our foggy eyes,
Lightening up memories, time's ticking.
We’re growing up with stone thoughts in our minds,
Imprinted by a childhood, poor and gray,
Blind shadows sticking to our steps and lives,
Slowly, misleading, covering our way.
We’re growing up with voices set to follow
So many worthless odes and selfish legends,
They bring us to the edge of eerie silence,
With holes in our hearts, they're plaguing us with sorrow.
