Hope For A Better Tomorrow
Hope For A Better Tomorrow
He knows my pockets are empty,
The world might not know that my smile is fake,
But my pains in my eyes he can clearly see,
He is innocent, his heart is pure,
I am bearing hardships but won't be able to see him endure,
After all I am his father, his well being is my responsibility,
How long can I tell him to be patient and keep myself free,
He is a growing up child, His dreams are varied,
He's like a lush green tree bearing leaves of desire,
And I fear my failure shouldn't let that tree go dry,
He's losing hopes in me,
And his questioning eyes are killing me,
Today he craved for a thing which I failed to buy,
After questioning for sometime he replied,
That he wanted that thing but cos of my condition he chose to silently cry,
I don't know what my future holds,
But if he will desire silver, I will work hard and get him gold,
Will see that he proudly looks at me,
Today might not be my day but tomorrow will definitely be
