I am a farmer
I am a farmer
Working in the field
Day and night
To make you healthy,
Fit and bright.
Innumerable mouths
Are fed due to me
Because I work hard
I'm not at all free.
Ploughing, Sowing, Harvesting
Even if I have cold and cough
I work without any leave
And I am yet not paid enough.
Children, let me tell
I am a farmer
I work all 365 days
To feed you, him and her.
When a single grain of food
You shall ever throw
You will see my face
On the plate below.
I grow the crops
Sometimes in a haste
But those grains
I'm unable to taste.
Trying to feed you day and night
I work and fast
But yet I ask you 'O' children,
Why do you waste food at last?
Let me tell you again,
I am a farmer
I work with all my might
To feed you, him and her.
