I Wait For Him

As all others were splashing colours

I stood at a corner waiting patiently for him

I knew he knew no haste 

The revellers were pulling me to be part of the festivities

I politely refused all their invites 

My lips uttered only his name 

Not one but many his own

My feet and anklets began to move in tandem with the distant tune

A saw his blissful smile occupying my heart 

Behold ,he did arrive 

Taking my hand he pulled me close 

Without being applied any colors

My cheeks began to blush 

He whispered into my ears 'Pink'

What followed is a celestial celebration

We danced together to the beat of the drums 

Splashing colors we merged 

His blue with my pink 

His flute and my anklets vying for victory

He addressed me Radha

I with deep devotion called him Radhe, Radhe

On lookers cried aloud
