The scent of summer brings along with the smell of you

It wafted through the air 

Swirling around my head in repeat like a broken radio

And I feel so heavy with this undeniable wistfulness

To see you

To talk with you

To grow with you

To be close to you again 

But the world seems so big now 

And you're in a distant land 

We shared the same world 

Where time ran in slow motion,

Now dusk turns to dawn way too fast 

The sky keeps lightning up in different shades

Your presence feels like a ripple getting lost in the sea while the endless waves move on 

And my mind now paints you in blurry lines

 My days feel silent and I can't help wondering,

 Do you wish to talk again?

 Do you wish to be friends again?

 These unanswered questions dissolve in the air
