Learning To Believe...

He broke my heart without care,

He left me standing still...

He made me wonder if I was wrong,

Maybe it was all a thrill...

I cried and moaned and hoped to heal,

I wanted to start anew...

And just as I thought I was getting there,

The winds of the past blew through...

These days my heart feels a little light,

And my thoughts seem content...

But my mind races to caution me,

Curious at his intent...

I want to be able to believe once more,

I want to feel alive...

Maybe someday I'll love again,
