Let me be FlowerWork
Let me be FlowerWork
Fireworks burst in the sky,
Colors bright and sparks fly high,
People watch with wonder and awe,
As memories are made and hearts are thawed.
But as quickly as they come,
Fireworks disappear, their light undone,
They leave no trace, no lasting mark,
And soon forgotten, lost in the dark.
I dream of something different,
A flower-work to light up the firmament,
A dandelion or a rose,
Their beauty and scent to forever disclose.
To scatter across the sky,
A sight to behold and never die,
Whose fragrance will be remembered,
Long after the petals have withered.
For a flower is serene and fair,
Its beauty always there to share,
It does not fade with the night,
But blooms in the day, in plain sight.
So let me be a flower-work,
A memory forever to embark,
A scent that will never be forgotten,
A beauty that will always be begotten.
