Life Of A Girl In Lockdown

Never thought of being heard,

It's something I always feared,

Liked being my own speaker,

No necessity of any listener,

Lived life to the best,

Always craved for crest.

Hated those who tried nearing boundaries,

For those who returned, I only have deep sighs!

Loved having freedom of thought,

For framing my opinions always fought,

So many concepts packed my mind,

To others in need I was always kind,

Did everything for oneself and others,

To reach to all fell prey to persuaders,

The more I patiently heard them,

Greater interests they had to claim,

Weapon they had was my innocence,

Now writing this leaping my fear fence,

Weapon I have is my shrouded truth,

All they need to do is to make me soothe,

Cause the hurt they left in me is furious,

To have a watch of it are you curious?

Talked to me with masks of goodness,

Just wanted one chance to confess,

It just wasn't the end of the story,

Asked more from me and saw the fury,

So many tricks and planning,

About me just keep dreaming,

Those who benefit from a person,

Will they leave the lockdown prison?

When world was busy fighting pandemic,

They kept bullying me online like cynic,

Physical, emotional and moral bullying,

It just felt worse than someone's killing,

Asked myself Can people be this cynic!

The cage I am in can you please pick.

My every word in thought was reiterated,

They still think that they have me petted.

Now I have stopped thinking,

My life has stopped blinking,

Can someone help before I start sinking!
