Lone in The Wilderness
Lone in The Wilderness
Twas the time,
Of thunder and gale,
When I reached my home,
To be regaled,
With stories,
Of yonder,
Which left me,
In immense wonder.
Amongst them all,
Was one of a lonely maiden,
Who was waiting for seasons
For one who left without reason.
When the tide was high she waited,
When the tide was low she waited,
She waited till the Sun was up,
She waited as the Sun went down.
This was a story heard by father,
And his father before him had,
It was a story which I heard,
And my son after me would.
But still,
When the tide is high,
And the gale is strong,
When wind keeps blowing,
All along,
The lonely roads,
And the highways likewise.
I hear the weeping of the maiden,
Who still waits in vain,
Through all the Seasons
For left in a without any Reason.
