Proof That A Sign Can Be An Answer

When faced with a situation we don't understand,

We beg and beg for a solution to be swiftly on hand,

For if no answer is there to ease that given concern,

We jump to the conclusion that we will be burned. 

There are those who seek a certain route,

As a lack of answers has pushed them to doubt,

They've consistently seen the same events take place,

And everything they lacked they find they must once again face. 

For years I too have been that way,

Ever since that dreadful day,

Before certain individuals would take their leave,

I'd felt there was a certain task I had to achieve. 

In one way or another, they earned the right,

To see that which was hidden from most everyone's sight,

Only a few individuals had earned such trust,

Thus I'd seen such an action as a must. 

Yet I found this to be the first time someone looked with admiration,

And that was a position the others had never taken,

He then blessed that object without hesitation,

That experience I have yet to take in. 

All I can think is that I've received a sign,

One that was truly one of a kind,

It proved that what our previous prior had made clear

That even when plagued with so much fear-

I did not stop when others had questioned my effort,

Even though I would end up hurt,

He had said my attempts to help would pay off someday,

And with what had happened I'm starting to believe all he did say.
