Looking for God

Looking for God

A beggar lived in the bylanes of Kolkata,

earning his livelihood by begging.

Everyday he managed to make some money.

One day a passerby halted near him

and said to him that he was doing

a research on the beggars of India.

And he would give him a hundred rupees

if he would answer him some questions.

The begar agreed happily and began

answering the questions.

One of the questions was that

'Did he find God as he was seen sitting

and begging in front of temples and masjids.'

The beggar replied that daily he earned

some money and during festivals,

he got some extra money.

One day he had a bad day and was

walking dejected when he decided

to give a last try and sat in front of a pub.

After some time, a man came out of

the pub and handed him a thousand

rupees note!

The beggar said, that day he found god

not in front of a mandir or a masjid ,

but in front of that pub!

The reporter was astonished

and went away thinking that God's

Leelas are also very unimaginable

and his blessings come in the most

unexpected ways otherwise the beggar

would not have found god in a place

where good people seldom visit!
