Mashooq
Mashooq
You stand there
At the threshold of the inexplicable forest,
Mystifying just like your dreamy eyes.
You give me a sultry smile.
While your laugh reeks of slyness,
Your embodiment speaks divine.
You beckon me to follow
And disappear behind the shifting patterns of the light.
I do as commanded.
I advance through the sickly stink.
The canopies of Redwood and Cedar
Allow only a few rays of the burning sun
Under which sparkles the facade you build
Eyes glimmer through the hollow tree trunks
The wind wails between the creaking branches
I inhale your misty scent
And let your shadow dance across my skin
As we grow closer
I trace your ivory petite figure
Leaving an invisible trail running down
Your cheeks glow with a subtle blush
We kiss under the dying sun
And then you melt away into the thin air.
Was this your plan all along?
